The name Chrysocolla was first used by Theophrastus in 315 B.C. and comes from the Greek chrysos, meaning “gold,” and kolla, meaning “glue,” in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold.
This mineral, in general, revitalizes and calms the base sacral and solar plexus chakras. At the heart chakra, it can also assist in the ease of emotional heartache and to give renewed strength and balance; it further increases one’s capacity to love. At the throat chakra, I can give both strength and balance in one’s expression and communication; it also helps one to refrain from verbalization when silence would be beneficial.
Chrysocolla provides for grounding while transmitting and furthering these stabilizing and balancing energies. It can further assist one to become attunes to the Earth and can provide direction to assist one in increasing the ionization of the atmosphere. This crystal can also assist one in communication with the spiritual forces of the Earth and can help one to understand that which is required in order that the Earth may heal itself.
Chrysocolla can produce great inner strength, helping to sustain one during stressful and/or long-enduring situations. It has promoted and enhanced physical vitality, stimulating the initiative qualiteies of ones character. In addition, it provides one with patience, and the ideal to “work on ones patience” NOW. This crystal has acted to purify the home and the environment, and can work to eliminate negativity from within a person. It imparts an energy conducive to stabilizing the home and re-building relationships.
